Open Graph Checker
See exactly how your page will look when shared on Facebook, LinkedIn or X — and find out which social tags are missing.
Why Open Graph tags matter
When someone shares your page on Facebook, LinkedIn or X, those platforms don't guess what to show — they read specific meta tags from your page's code. Without them, your link may show no image, the wrong title, or nothing useful at all.
Open Graph (og:*) tags are the standard most platforms read by default. Twitter/X has its own twitter:* tags, but will fall back to Open Graph tags if those aren't set.
Frequently asked questions
What size should my og:image be?
A common recommendation is around 1200×630 pixels, giving the 1.91:1 ratio most platforms crop to, similar to the preview shown above.
I updated my tags but the old preview still shows on Facebook
Facebook and LinkedIn cache link previews. You'll usually need to use their own debugging tools (like Facebook's Sharing Debugger) to force a re-scrape — this checker shows your current tags, not what's cached on their side.
Do I need separate Twitter tags if I already have Open Graph tags?
Not strictly — X/Twitter falls back to Open Graph tags automatically. Twitter-specific tags just give you more control if you want a different title, description or image for that platform.
