Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 August 2026
WaqarWeb ("we", "us", "our") provides free web tools at waqarweb.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, why, and what rights you have over it. We aim to collect as little personal data as possible to run the site properly.
Who we are
WaqarWeb is operated by Waqar, based in the United Kingdom. As a UK-based service, we handle personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What information we collect
Most WaqarWeb tools — including the SERP Preview and Robots.txt Generator — run entirely in your browser. The text you type into them is not sent to our servers or stored by us.
Where a tool does need to contact our server (for example, a future website scanning tool that fetches a page you specify), we process only what's needed to return your result, and we do not sell or share that data with third parties for marketing purposes.
If you contact us, create an account, or subscribe to a paid plan in future, we may collect:
- Your name and email address
- Messages you send us via the contact form
- Account activity, such as saved websites or scan history, if you're registered
- Billing information, handled by our payment processor (not stored directly on our servers)
Cookies
We aim to use only essential cookies needed to run the site. If we add analytics (to understand which tools are useful, as referenced in our own SEO guidance) or advertising cookies in future, we will ask for your consent first via a cookie banner, and you'll be able to decline non-essential cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Why we process your data
- To provide the service — running the tool you've requested and returning a result.
- To respond to you — if you contact us with a question or issue.
- To improve WaqarWeb — understanding which tools are used and where things go wrong, using aggregated or anonymised data where possible.
- To provide paid services — if and when you choose to subscribe to WaqarWeb Pro or Business.
How long we keep data
We keep account and billing data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal and accounting obligations. Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to resolve your query.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), if you believe we've mishandled your data.
Third-party services
We may use trusted third-party providers to help run WaqarWeb — for example, hosting providers, analytics tools, or payment processors. Where this involves your personal data, we choose providers with appropriate safeguards in place, and we'll update this policy as those providers are added.
Children's privacy
WaqarWeb is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as WaqarWeb grows and adds new features. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
